Selena Quintanilla’s Sister Sues Shein Over Knockoff Merch Bearing Late Singer’s Likeness

Selena Quintanilla's sister, Suzette, is suing Chinese e-commerce company Shein for selling unlicensed merchandise bearing her sister's name and likeness. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in California, accuses Shein of manufacturing and selling "countless t-shirts and other merchandise" with Selena's name, likeness and identity without permission or compensation. Shein is accused of violating multiple counts of trademark infringement, unfair competition, and publicity rights violations. The suit seeks damages and a court injunction to stop the production and sale of merchandise bearing the Selena trademarks.
