Lucy Liu, a former actress and star of "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Charlie's Angels" in the 2000s, was misdiagnosed with a breast cancer scare when she felt a lump on her breast and scheduled for surgery. After learning about routine screening and diagnostic tools, she learned more about the importance of early cancer screenings. The breast cancer incidence rate has risen about 1.4% each year from 2012 to 2022 in women under 50, and nearly 100% of women diagnosed with breast cancer at an early stage are still alive five years later. Liu is now advocating in partnership with Pfizer for cancer screenings, which she believes can be overcome through language barriers and cultural barriers. She hopes that her advocacy will teach her son, Rockwell, that going to the doctor doesn't have to be complicated or complicated.
