The 2026 Deseret News Girls Basketball Players of the Year have provided strong leadership throughout the season, providing a crucial role in their teams' success. Senior leader Maylee Anderson was instrumental in Syracuse's strong season, averaging 16.2 points and 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. Oregon Duck commit Kylee Falatea also played a significant role in West High's success, leading her team to the 5A championship game and averaging 26.1 points per game, 6.3 rebounds and 8.1 assists. Senior shooting guard Talyssa Nelson was a standout for Green Canyon, with her high basketball IQ and ability to adjust to defenses.
