Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman-winning quarterback who led Indiana to its first national championship in football in 2025, was selected by the Raiders at the 2026 NFL Draft. Seven-time Super Bowl champion and Raiders minority owner Tom Brady expressed his excitement about the prospect of mentoring Mendeza. The Raiders also added two new players to their roster this summer, including center Tyler Linderbaum and wide receiver Jalen Nailor. The signing of 37-year-old QB Kirk Cousins could determine whether Mendoaza will start the team day one.
