Major potato chip brands issue recall over fears of Salmonella contamination

Utz Quality Foods LLC, a subsidiary of Pennsylvania-based Utz Brands, has recalled some varieties of its Zapp's and Dirty potato chips due to concerns of Salmonella contamination. The affected chips have seasoning that may contain dry milk powder manufactured by California Dairies. The company confirmed that the affected seasoning batches tested negative for salmonella prior to use but is recalling the chips "out of an abundance of caution". The FDA has warned against consuming the recalled products and urged consumers to either discard them or receive a refund.
