Remarkable Woman winner Cassie Gerety donates $1,000 to Permian Basin Honor Flight

A $1,000 donation by YourBasin’s 2026 Remarkable Woman winner Cassie Gerety is helping the Permian Basin Honor Flight reach its next trip, giving another local veteran a chance to visit Washington, D.C., at no cost. The donation comes as it costs about $2,000 to send one veteran on the three-day, two-night trip, where participants visit memorials dedicated to their service. The program has since expanded to include Korean War and Vietnam War veterans. The nonprofit operates entirely through donations and volunteers.
