Three downtown Las Vegas casinos have reported a surge in Canadian tourists, with over 15,000 Canadians visiting them in the first 30 days of the promotion. The promotion, which treats the Canadian dollar as equal to the U.S. dollar on select purchases, has been extended until Aug. 31, 2026. The program allows eligible Canadian guests to receive one dollar for every Canadian dollar spent on qualifying hotel, gaming, beverage and entertainment purchases. The current CAD/USD exchange rate is $0.73. The casinos will promote a free concert by Canadian rock band Finger Eleven on the Fremont Street Experience on June 27 as part of the Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series.
