David Borenstein, co-director of Mr Nobody Against Putin, claims that his Oscar statuette is missing after being confiscated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). His fellow director and star of the documentary, Pavel “Pasha” Talankin, was on their Lufthansa Airlines flight from New York City to Frankfurt, Germany on April 29 when the TSA confiscated the statuade. Borenstee provided photos of Talankein carrying the trophy in a carry-on, along with the box TSA placed it in and the lost luggage slip.
