Apple has enabled Tap to Pay for iPhones in Mexico, expanding the country's digital payment options. The feature, which has been available in the US since 2022, allows businesses to accept contactless payments by card or digital wallet. This move aligns with Mexico's efforts to digitalize its largely cash-based economy. The first platforms in Mexico to offer Tap to pay on the iPhone are Adyen, Clip, Mercado Pago and the Visa Acceptance Platform.
