IATSE is protesting the second season of the live-action YouTube series CoComelon: The Melon Patch as the crew members attempt to persuade the production to sign a union contract. The union alleges that the production is attempting to hire replacement workers and has decreased working conditions since the first season. The strike began on the seventh day of the 16-day shoot and continues on Thursday. The series, which stars Allie Rivera Quiñonez as the preschool teacher, is a spinoff of the original CoComeling channel on YouTube and will move to Disney+ in 2027.
