Several blocks on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach have been under construction for months, causing a significant disruption to residents and businesses. The work includes removing asphalt, replacing sidewalks, installing new drainage and a pumping station. Real estate broker Gary Hennes, who believes the disruption has negatively impacted his business, said it was difficult for clients to get to his office without traffic. The project is part of the West Avenue Neighborhood Improvements Project, which aims to reduce flooding by adding pumps, raising roads, and enhancing the area by adding lighting.
