Hartish man, 34-year-old Deshawn Mobley, is facing charges for attempting to cash stolen checks at a bank branch in Vernon, Connecticut. The checks, which were taken from a mailbox, were found at the American Eagle Federal Credit Union. Mobley is charged with fourth-degree larceny, second-degree forgery, and third-degree attempt at fifth-grade lurch. He was released on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled for court appearance on March 11.
