National Gas has announced plans for a 300-mile underground hydrogen pipeline, Project Union, which will run from Teesside, Yorkshire and the Humber to the East Midlands. The project aims to decarbonise one of the nation's most important industrial corridors. National Gas plans to repurpose existing natural gas pipelines and establish a national hydrogen network.
