Severe rainfall has significantly impacted air traffic at Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul, causing dozens of incoming flights to abort landings and remain in holding patterns. As conditions deteriorated, 51 aircraft declared minimum fuel status and were diverted to alternate airports. The Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM) announced that flight cancellations would be implemented on March 29 and 30 due to adverse weather conditions. Additionally, disruptions to maritime transport have also occurred.
