A new front has emerged in the expanding Middle East conflict, with Israel responding with airstrikes on southern Lebanon and Beirut after Hezbollah fired rockets on northern Israel. At least three US service members have been killed and five more seriously wounded in the US and Israel's joint attack on Iran. The Israeli military confirmed it struck senior Hezbollah terrorists in the Beirut area and a central Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon. Several people have died and dozens injured following protests at the heavily fortified US consulate compound in Karachi, Pakistan. The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, said President Trump crossed a "very dangerous red line" following US-Israeli attacks.
