Toyota Boshoku and office furniture manufacturer Itoki have collaborated to create a luxury desk chair, priced at approximately $3,500 USD. The chair retains the features of the front power seat of the Toyota Crown sedan, including power recline, lumbar support, heating, and cooling, along with a repurposed seatbelt buckle that serves as a hidden USB port. Limited to a production run of just 70 units, the item is available through Japan’s “THE CROWN” retail network as part of the brand’�s specialized “Crown COLLECTION”. The collaboration reflects a shift where automotive design language becomes high-end homeware.
