After a 79-64 win over No. 2 seed Purdue, Arizona and Illinois have finally reached the Final Four, marking their first time since the 2000-01 season. This is not the first time the two teams have reached the final four since the mid-2000 season. The teams' performances have been noted as significant achievements for both teams. Despite this, Illinois has yet to win a national championship, while Arizona has won it all once in 1997. The two teams are on a collision course for the national championship if they can each win.
