Impala Platinum boosts dividend after five-fold profit increase

South African mining company, Impala, has increased its dividend to €9.3 billion ($567.36 million) for the six months leading up to December 31, up from €1.9 billion. The company declared an interim dividend of €4.10 per share, returning 3.7 billion euros. The increase is attributed to a sustained increase in platinum group (PSP) prices.
