Dylan Cease strikes out 12 in Blue Jays debut as Toronto rallies for walk-off finish

Dylan Cease struck out 12 batters in his Blue Jays debut, setting a new record for most by a Blue Jays pitcher in their debut for the franchise, surpassing David Price's 11 during his debut in 2015. Despite Cease's performance, Toronto rallied for an 8-7 walk-off win over the Athletics. The victory was witnessed by fans and by Blue Jays skipper John Schneider, who were impressed with Cease’s performance. Despite trailing in the ninth inning, third baseman Ernie Clement scored the winning single in the 11th inning.
