The South Plains experienced another beautiful day with high temperatures in the mid-70s, with winds expected to remain mild throughout the day. However, cloud cover is expected to increase overnight, with no precipitation expected for most of the South Plains. Chances of organized shower and storm activity are expected to develop, with some potentially producing severe hail of around 1-1.5″ diameter hailstones and winds reaching over 60 mph. Despite this, there are no significant rainfall chances for the entire South Plains this weekend, with light to moderate daily rain chances expected starting Saturday and lasting through the first half of next week.
