A cold front is sweeping across Nebraska, bringing gusty north winds and significantly cooler temperatures, creating dangerous fire weather conditions. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning near the Nebraska/Kansas border. Despite the gusty conditions, rain chances are slim for the remainder of the day. High to extreme fire danger is expected, with the strongest winds predicted to arrive behind the cold front into the evening. Despite this, temperatures are expected to remain above the 80s and lower 90s across southern Nebraska.
