Several communities across the South Plains experienced high temperatures, with several reaching 90 degrees Fahrenheit, close to Lubbock's record set at 87 degrees. A cold front moving through the area will return high temperatures to near normal, mostly in the 60s and 70s. There are expected to be significant changes in temperatures throughout the week, with low chances of rain on Monday through Wednesday.
