The morning commute in Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana was a major issue for drivers due to light snowfall and low temperatures causing major disruptions to the morning commute. The first ramp closure came in the 5 a.m. hour on the Georgia Powers Expressway (I-264 in Shawnee), where much of the highway is elevated, and then a car overturned on the Preston Hwy ramp to I-65 North. Other issues included multiple crashes on the Granderson WESTBOUND and 264 WEST on the Westbound. The cold weather caused significant disruption to traffic, with temperatures below freezing and snow quickly falling to the roadways.
