The film is part of a trilogy that focuses on youth voices and aims to show how these individuals navigate their environments. McClellan, who graduated from Governors State University in University Park, believes that focusing on these young people allows him to tell stories through uncommon perspectives and avoids sensationalism. His films have won several awards and he is proud of their ability to showcase honest and truthful films that make a difference.
