The Trump Department of Justice is taking action against the corrupt DC Bar Association, following the recent charges against U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin. The D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility alleges that while Martin, a conservative stalwart, violated local rules of legal conduct in investigating Georgetown Law School for its continued promotion of DEI in its curriculum and refusing to hire those affiliated with the school until it purged DEI. The move could bolster the administration's efforts to combat the weaponization of bar disciplinary tribunals against conservatives. The proposal includes a rule allowing the attorney general to intervene when a third party lodges a bar complaint alleging ethical violations while working, absent a complaint, or even an investigation into such allegations.
