A Racine County jury has found Harry Wait guilty of election fraud for illegally requesting absentee ballots in 2022. According to the criminal complaint, Wait went to MyVote.wi.gov and requested absentee ballots for two people to be sent to his address in Union Grove. He admitted to using these ballots in other people's names, including Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Racine Mayor Cory Mason, but claimed he did it to expose vulnerabilities in the online MyVote system. After deliberating for over three hours, the jury returned with a guilty verdict on three of the four charges. Wait was found not guilty on one count of misappropriating identification information and was found guilty on two charges related to election fraud. A sentencing date has not been set yet.
