Former US National Security Advisor, John Bolton, has warned that partial U.S. military strikes against Iran could leave the regime intact, allowing it to recover and strengthen its nuclear and terrorist capabilities. He warned that if the White House leaves a "wounded beast" alive in Tehran, "it will rebuild its nuclear program, its terrorist infrastructure, and the regime." Bolton also criticised what he called half-measures by the Trump administration and called for the support of internal opposition forces in Iran to push for regime change.
