Suspect hits 63-year-old bystander with SUV while fleeing U.S. marshal in Nashville, affidavit says

A 23-year-old man is being held under maximum security in Nashville after he allegedly hit an innocent 63-year old bystander with an SUV while fleeing a U.S. marshal. The incident occurred at a gas station where members of the U.N. Marshals Task Force spotted him filling up a Hertz rental car with a Missouri license plate. Gibson had a warrant out for his arrest after allegedly violating his federal supervised release. The suspect's federal probation was related to a weapons conviction and he has a history of robbery, resisting arrest, discharge of a weapon resulting in injury and carjacking. The getaway car was later found abandoned along Spurgeon Avenue in Nashville.
