The weather is expected to remain dry through the weekend, with temperatures expected to be above average throughout the first half of the weekend. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for much of Western Nebraska from noon to 8pm CDT, and a Red Fire Warning remains in place for part of the panhandle. The combination of gusty winds and low relative humidity is causing critical fire conditions. High temperatures are expected across much of Nebraska Friday and Saturday, with a new record high temperature likely to be set in Lincoln. The weather pattern will change on Sunday, with high temperatures expected significantly lower than expected.
