Survey: Germans see no drop in bureaucracy from Merz's coalition

A YouGov poll has revealed that the promised cuts to bureaucracy by the German government have not been felt by most citizens and entrepreneurs. The survey also found that 66% of citizens believe the bureaucratic burden has remained roughly the same since Chancellor Friedrich Merz's coalition government took office in May. However, 22% of those surveyed believe the bureaucracy is now worse. The poll was conducted on behalf of the European Centre for Digital Competitiveness at the ESCP Business School in Berlin.
