The exhibition will feature historical and modern garments from the Met's curatorial departments and art objects spanning over 5,000 years. The event organizers have also announced a "Fash Is Art," which invites attendees to express their own relationship to fashion as an embodied art form and celebrate the countless depictions of the dressed body throughout art history. Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicole Kidman, Kim Kardashian, and Carmen Sandiego are expected to attend.
