US packaging company, Silgan, has expressed interest in Germany's largest manufacturer, Gerresheimer. The company, which is worth around 600 million euros ($694 million), has seen its shares drop more than 80% from its peak of 2023 and its stock is now down 37% since the start of the year. Gerresimo is also under investigation by Germany's financial regulator, Basel, for accounting issues and a lack of transparency.
