The AMD has introduced a new generation of "X3D" variants of its high-end desktop processors, with an extra 64MB of L3 cache attached to each of the two CPU dies. This addition is particularly beneficial for games as it stacks the cache directly on top of (for) the CPU die. The new chip, the Ryzen 9 9950X3d2 Dual Edition, also includes 16MB L2 cache, 32MB L3 Cache, and another 64MB Cache per die. It is expected to be up to 10% faster than the previous generation of processors.
