The plan could include new construction, renovations, and reconfiguration of existing school buildings. While the proposed income tax would fund day-to-day operations, not construction, officials believe it will allow the district to responsibly take on debt needed to finance major building projects. Despite meeting financial projections, the district continues to operate with a structural deficit of $92,000. The district's Treasurer, Stephen Thompson, said the district is still "trending in the wrong direction" and is "still trending towards the wrong side"
