Tahirys dos Santos, a 19-year-old defender from Metz, has signed his first professional contract following a New Year's Eve bar fire that killed 41 people. The incident occurred in the ski resort of Crans-Montana, where he helped rescue his partner and sustained burns to 30% of his body. He returned to action for Metz reserves on 11 April.
