A man has been fatally shot by Rochester police after a police response to a man in crisis escalated. The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on Ashland Drive Northwest near 19th Street and involved a struggle with officers. The man was taken to a hospital and declared dead by the Department of Public Health. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Enforcement is now investigating the incident.
