Seattle could rename former Chávez park for Dolores Huerta

Seattle Parks and Recreation is considering a renaming the former César Chávez Park for labor leader Dolores Huerta. This comes after a New York Times investigation revealed reports of Chacvez sexually abusing women and girls, including HuERTa herself. The park is currently open to suggestions through April 14. City policy states that parks should only be named for people who have been dead for at least three years, and Huertta, now in her mid-90s, is still living.
