New Mexico United is set to play its home opener against Colorado Springs, the only team in the league without a point, at 1 p.m. at Isotopes Stadium. Coach Dennis Sanchez is hopeful his team will perform well in the upcoming match against local rival El Paso. The return of Cristian Nava, a forward who missed all of last season due to a knee injury, is also a welcome sign for the team. The game will be held at the Lab, with former fan favorite Talen Maples, who recorded seven goals for New Mexico last season.
