College track star killed in wrong-way crash at 22

Matthew Wing, a 22-year-old junior track and field athlete at Concordia University, died in a car crash on Interstate 49 in Harrisonville, Mo. The crash occurred when Wing was driving a Toyota Prius, which was carrying three others, traveling northbound when a Ford Explorer collided with their vehicle. The Prius caught fire and the three passengers, who were Concordia students, were injured. The driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
