Broncos have come up big before when having a shortage of early draft picks

The Denver Broncos are set to enter the NFL draft with the No. 62 pick in Friday's second round, followed by two fourth-round selections, one in the fifth and three in the seventh. This marks the fifth time in their history that the Broncos have had fewer early draft picks. In 1986, they had no picks in the first three rounds, but found productive wide receiver Mark Jackson in the sixth round, and in 1990, they landed Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe in seventh round. In 1994, the Broncos had only a second-round selection in first three years and got Ring of Fame center Tom Nalen in seventh. However, they also found key players in the later rounds. Gary Kubiak, who led the Broncos to their third Super Bowl win in the 2015 season, highlighted the importance of late draft picks and undrafted signees.
