‘RINO’ Indiana Senate incumbents lose BIGLY to Trump-endorsed challengers

President Donald Trump endorsed several state Senate candidates in the May 5 primary election in Indiana, which saw at least six out of eight endorsed by him win their respective primary elections. This victory came after 21 GOP state senators voted to block a new congressional map that would have created two more Republican-leaning districts and potentially strengthen the GOP's control of the US House of Representatives. Despite Trump's threats to unseat these Republicans, most of them were incumbents with significant leads. The results were largely attributed to Democrats' efforts to block the redistricting map, which failed in a 31-19 vote.
