Dallas Mavericks' rookie No. 1 pick, Cooper Flagg, became the first teenager to score 51 points in an NBA game in a game against the Orlando Magic. The game ended in a 138-127 loss to the Magic, with Flagg scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter after his coach and a teammate were ejected for arguing about a no-call when Desmond Bane fouled him. Despite this, Flagg returned to the game with 45 points, assistant coach Frank Vogel told him he was just resting him during a defensive possession. This marked the team's 14th consecutive home loss, the longest home losing streak since 1993-94.
