Winter weather advisories for several counties in northern New Jersey have been extended until Tuesday night due to the threat of spotty patches of ice on roads due to freezing rain. The National Weather Service has issued winter weather alerts for Morris, Sussex and Warren counties, and a winter weather advisory for western Passaic County until 10 p.m. The weather service warned drivers to expect slippery road conditions and warned of potential freezing temperatures. Additional rain is expected on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach the 50s to near 60 degrees.
