7 London bus routes will be hit by strikes this week

Major bus services in east London will be disrupted by industrial action, starting on Thursday 19th and 22th respectively. The strikes are part of a dispute between bus drivers represented by Unite and the East London Bus & Coach Company, part of Stagecoach. Unite alleges that drivers at the Bow garage are suffering from fatigue due to long-distance shifts without adequate breaks. The strike will affect seven bus routes across the city. The dispute is reportedly overworking drivers and increasing the risk of accidents.
