The chance of rain is expected to occur across the city of Houston on Thursday, with a few scattered showers expected throughout the day. However, the potential for significant rainfall is expected on Friday, with predictions of around 1.5 to as much as 4 inches in some northern spots expected. The most intense rainfall is likely to occur north of I-10, where street flooding is expected due to the intensity of the rain. This rainfall will further enhance drought conditions in the region. A cold front is forecasted to move through Friday night, leading to temperatures reaching 68° and a potentially chilly weekend.
