Uber has launched a hotel booking feature in the US, allowing customers to book hotels directly through the app. The move is part of a broader effort to integrate the company's services into the user's lives. The feature was announced during the company’s annual Go-Get event in New York City. At launch, Uber customers will have access to over 700,000 hotels worldwide through a partnership with Expedia Group. The company also announced that vacation rental inventory from startup Vrbo will be added to the app later this year. The launch of the new feature was part of an effort to sell more customers on its Uber One subscription, with members receiving 20% discounts off of a rolling list of 10,000 hotel when booked through their app.
