Classic 1990s Console Is Being Fully Remade With Major Upgrades (and 10 Games Have Already Been Announced)

Retail gaming enthusiasts have confirmed that the NEOGEO AES+, a classic luxury home console from the 1990s, is being rereleased with major upgrades and a launch lineup of 10 classic games. The new console was developed in collaboration with SNK, the producers of the original hardware. It will be available for pre-order on November 12, 2026 and comes with two different SKUs: the Original Edition for $249.99 and the 35th Anniversary Edition. Other notable features include a 1:1 replica of the arcade controller, updated to offer both wired and wireless capability, and a memory card that no longer requires a cell battery. The launch will also feature a strong library of games, including classics like Metal Slug and Shock Troopers.
