Penn State junior and Somerville native Shayne Van Ness has reached the final of the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, after two losses in the national semifinals and two third-place finishes. Van Ness won 22-1 over Nebraska's Chance Lamer and will face 10th-seeded Aden Valencia of Stanford in the final. This is not the first time Van Ness made the semifinals, but his philosophy is that it's just another Tuesday. He credits his success to a takedown at the buzzer at the end of a scramble in sudden victory against Oklahoma State's Casey Swiderski.
