Florida opened spring practices without key players including leading tackler Myles Graham, promising receiver Dallas Wilson, and starting defensive end Kamran James. These injuries occurred during coach Jon Sumrall's first practice with the team. Graham, who led the Gators with 76 tackles, will not participate in 11-on-11 tackling throughout camp due to his recent shoulder surgery. Wilson, who had previously sat out with a foot injury, is expected to be a top-10 receiver in 2025. Five players are ruled out for spring, including freshman cornerback CJ Bronaugh due to a shoulder injury and redshirt junior cornerback Dijon Johnson recovering from a knee injury.
