Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner have lost a legal bid to keep portions of their 2023 sex tape settlement with Ray J private. The reality stars had argued that releasing details of the settlement over Kardashian and Ray J's 2007 sex tape would harm their privacy. However, a judge in Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that their arguments were too vague, speculative, and amorphous to support the request for a sealing order. The case was not about Kardashian engaging in sexual activities, as all parties involved recognize that the sex tape has already been public disclosure. In October, Kardashian and Jenner sued Ray J for defamation after he claimed to be working with the feds to build a RICO case against both women. In response, Ray J sued the mother-daughter duo for violating their settlement on an episode of their Hulu series "The Kardashians."
